We are absolutely in awe of our new kitchen, and it’s all thanks to the incredible talent of Leandré, Studio — Àkara.
When we decided to renovate the kitchen in our 1930s home, we knew it was a huge challenge. It was dated, dark, cramped, and the layout just didn't work for our family. The pantry, in particular, was a tiny, disorganized space that we dreaded using. Our dream was to create a modern farmhouse kitchen that was bright, functional, and welcoming, but we were worried about losing the original charm of the house.
From our very first meeting, Leandré just got it. She listened to all our ideas and frustrations and came back with a design that was more creative and beautiful than we could have imagined. She have an amazing eye for detail, blending classic farmhouse elements—like the beautiful apron-front sink —with modern conveniences and a clean, airy color palette.
The transformation of the pantry alone is a miracle! It went from a dark closet to a bright, stunningly organized butler's pantry that is now one of our favorite features. Leandré was a true partner throughout the entire process, managing the project with professionalism and keeping us informed every step of the way.
Studio — Àkara didn't just give us a new kitchen; they completely changed how we live in our home. It’s now the true heart of our house, a place where we love to cook, gather, and make memories. Working with Leandré, Studio — Àkara was, without a doubt, the best decision we made for our home. Our living room had been a challenge for years; we had decorated it with a black colour theme that, over time, started to feel incredibly dreary, dark, and lifeless. The room had no energy, and we found ourselves avoiding it.
We knew we wanted a change but had no idea how to get there. We wanted something bright and luxurious, but still comfortable and "us."
From the first consultation, Leandré understood our desire for a complete shift in atmosphere. They introduced the concept of "raw luxury," and we were instantly hooked. Their vision was to strip back the darkness and bring in light, texture, and natural elegance.
The design they presented was breathtaking. They replaced the heavy black with a palette of soft, warm whites and layered in textures that feel both organic and incredibly high-end. The strategic use of marble is the showstopper—it adds a timeless, sophisticated polish that completely elevates the space.
Our living room is now unrecognizable in the best way possible. It’s bright, airy, and feels alive. The touches of wood and marble catch the light beautifully throughout the day. It’s gone from the most avoided room in our house to our absolute favourite place to relax and entertain. Leandré didn't just redecorate; she gave our home a new soul. We are beyond thrilled and would recommend their visionary services to anyone.
